About
As a Christian counselor, I believe hope, healing, and change are not only possible, but God-given. Our journey together will lean into this hope, healing, and change, ever mindful of God’s constant presence and power to help these occur. With training in EFT (emotionally focused therapy), I am able to sit with clients in even the most intense of emotions. Through our time together, my goal is to help you stabilize relationships, work through deeper attachment and emotional needs, and integrate those experiences to apply them to other concerns you may have.
My Goal as a Christian Counselor
My goal as your counselor is centered around your goals. This could involve improving your relationships or how you experience the various stressors of life. It may involve helping you grow in how you experience yourself, how you experience others, and how you experience God. We will embrace all of your emotions, values, and beliefs as they occur in each session to discover new ways to experience and understand ourselves, our relationships, and the world in which we live.
What I Offer in Christian Counseling
I offer an accepting, professional, client-centered experience. It is accepting in that you will be welcomed for who you are. It is professional in that all ethical, moral, legal, and professional standards are maintained. It is client-centered in that it focuses on your goals, not the therapist’s goals. It is an experience in that therapy is not something done to the client, but a shared, engaged journey actively occurring in the therapy room.
My Approach to Christian Counseling
As a Christian counselor, my faith informs and shapes my beliefs and values. My hope is that my clients, no matter their own faith, experience the love, compassion, and acceptance of Christ through me as we journey together. In session, it is not only the client and myself in the room, but also the presence of God.
