About
My experiences have allowed me to understand and connect with others from various cultural backgrounds in a unique way. In addition, my clients will gain an empathetic, genuine, and Christ-centered perspective as they walk through their journey of healing and self-discovery. After listening to your story, I will work with you to develop the best treatment plan for your needs, walking with you each step of the way. I believe there is power in prayer and that the Word of God is living and active; therefore, these are the catalysts for true healing and freedom.
My Goal as a Christian Counselor
As we explore your internal world and as you grow in self-awareness, my hope is that our time together will result in impactful change in your life. My hope is that you will develop a greater understanding of yourself, your behavior patterns, and how to overcome unhelpful patterns of thinking and behavior. My aim is for you to see yourself and God more clearly in the midst of your circumstances.
What I Offer in Christian Counseling
You will be greeted with a warm welcome and a genuine desire to learn and understand your story. I love to start each session by getting a general overview of how your week has been and how you are feeling. I will follow your lead in terms of where you want each session to go, offering therapeutic guidance along the way. At the end of each session, if you are open to prayer, I would be honored to pray for you.
My Approach to Christian Counseling
As a Christian counselor, I believe that true healing ultimately comes from the Lord. As Christians, we are not exempt from the effects of sin and the fall – we still experience loss and suffering. But I believe that suffering is never for nothing; it is always producing something greater in us. Yet, our vision often gets clouded in seasons of suffering, and we can lose sight of who we are and who God is. Therefore, faith is foundational to my counseling approach because true healing, comfort, and restoration come through the power of Christ. In seasons of shame, hopelessness, and despair, His comfort and loving hand carry us through.
