WHAT IS A RECOVERY GROUP?
This is an ongoing group designed to help men strengthen and support one another’s sobriety. However, it is far more than just staying sober; it’s learning to enjoy your life again! Group therapy will help you gain freedom from your past and hope for your future in a safe group environment. Working together with a group of other people in recovery will help give you the support you would otherwise be lacking in your own individual recovery. Our addictions create isolation but our recovery is built in community.HOW CAN IT HELP?
Group therapy helps us learn to change how we think, regulate how we feel, and gain control over our addiction. We accomplish this by learning to be more effective at identifying triggers, reframing unhealthy thought patterns, managing cravings, planning ahead to prevent relapse, increasing participation in healthy behaviors, and build healthy and meaningful relationships.
WHO CAN PARTICIPATE?
Men pursuing recovery from substance use. They are formed based upon age and split into two groups, young adults (16-24 year olds) and adults (25+ year olds). Participants can be in active addiction or have years of sobriety. Whether you are seeking treatment for a current addiction or you have been sober for years we invite you to join a community where recovery is not only possible but enjoyable.
WHEN ARE GROUPS?
Groups currently take place on Wednesday evenings from 7:00 to 8:30 pm. Groups will run throughout the year and additional groups will be added based on need (Minimum of 4 participants and maximum of 10 participants).
Recovery Groups are divided into Phase I and Phase II groups. Phase I is designed for individuals in their first 3 months of recovery. Phase II is designed for individuals with more then 3 months sobriety and will have the option to attend every other week. Both groups are offered in 12 week intervals.
